This page describes the activities carried out by this website that use personal data of visitors to www.iotty.uk and the landing pages linked to it.  This information does not apply instead to other websites that may be visited by the user through links that leave the iotty.uk domain and are not identified as our property.  

Please note that the data acquired from this website and, in particular, from the e-commerce are completely separate, in terms of nature and purpose of the treatment, compared to those acquired in the context of the use of the iotty Smart Home App, for which a specific informative report has been prepared.  

GENERAL INFORMATION  

The owner of the processing of personal data of visitors to this website is:

The processing operations connected to the web services of this site are carried out by iotty staff, as well as by the providers of hosting, site management and customer care services, specialized suppliers, properly appointed as data processors (Shopify and Zendesk).  

The data are also shared, for the delivery of purchased goods, with dedicated suppliers, as described in the general conditions of purchase and service.  

As of the date of updating of this information, the data managed on this website are partly transferred outside the European Economic Area (in particular to Shopify and Zendesk). The service providers guarantee an adequate level of security and are contractually bound to respect the Standard Contractual Clauses for the protection of personal data approved by the European Commission. Other data may be transferred to third countries, with the same logic as above, in relation to third-party cookies (detailed in the appropriate policy).

ESHOP  

As required by current legislation, for the purchase of goods (and the request for services) on this site we need to identify the user, collect telephone number and email and record personal data, as well as the billing address and / or delivery of goods. No user account registration is required, the data must be entered for each purchase transaction.  

The processing of this data is carried out for the processing of purchase orders and the completion of the related tax formalities (and in particular for billing purposes) and therefore in execution of the contract between the parties and the resulting legal obligations. The data collected in this way will be kept by iotty for the time provided for by the regulations of the country of purchase for the time of conservation of administrative documentation (in Italy, 10 years from the issuing of the fiscal document).    

  

CUSTOMER SERVICE (CONTACT US)  

This site provides a first level support service for all users (not just customers). The spontaneous sending, through the compilation of the form, of requests for assistance implies the treatment of the personal data of the applicant for the registration in our systems, the collection and management of the request and the contacting by our specialized staff to provide the answer. The processing of this data is carried out to follow up on the request of the applicant and in execution of the contract between the parties or pre-contractual measures. The data collected in this way are kept by iotty for the entire duration of the relationship that may be established and in general for the time of conservation of administrative documentation required by law.  

We specify that customer service is provided from Italy, but some information may also be shared with customer care in the United States.  

  

REMARKETING AND BEHAVIORAL ADVERTISING  

Through profiling cookies that the visitor chooses whether or not to activate on this site, we carry out remarketing campaigns to reach potential customers and clients who have shown, with their behavior, interest in the purchase and / or use of smart devices for Smart Home. Data is used to promote the display of sponsored and behavior profiling-based advertisements and is deleted every 120 days.  

Withholding consent or disabling profiling cookies prevents the display of personalized advertising. Consent preferences can be managed at any time as indicated in cookies policy. 

 

DIRECT EMAIL MARKETING   

Under the contact or request forms you can give your consent, absolutely free and optional, to receive further commercial or promotional information, in the form of DEM (email), from iotty. In fact, we ask our customers if they consent to receive our commercial communications or our product suggestions (limited to what is displayed on this site and developed by iotty srl). 

The email addresses are transmitted to the provider of the CRM system, duly appointed as data processor.   

The address data collected for this purpose are used only if the person concerned gives us consent to the communication, which is free, optional and can be revoked at any time.   

The same are used until the revocation of consent that can be exercised by clicking on the appropriate link on the foot of each email or by writing to support@iotty.com   

  

SOFT SPAMMING 

iotty may use, for the purpose of the direct sale of products offered through the Site, the coordinates of electronic mail (provided by you in the context of a purchase on the Site) even without your consent, provided that it is a product similar to that object of the previous sale (c.d. soft spamming). You may, however, refuse this treatment at any time by communicating your opposition to the Company. The legal basis of the treatment is the legitimate interest of iotty to send this type of communication. This legitimate interest can be considered equivalent to the interest of the data subject in receiving "soft-spam" communications.  

  

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU DO NOT RELEASE YOUR PERSONAL DATA   

The provision of your personal data, in particular personal data, e-mail address, postal address for shipping products, telephone number and any other data indicated as mandatory, is necessary in order to conclude the contract for the purchase of products on the Site or to respond to your requests for support.  

Some of these data are compulsory and, therefore, indispensable also to fulfil obligations deriving from laws or regulations.  

The refusal to provide some of your data necessary for these purposes may make it impossible to execute the contract for the purchase of products on the Site or to provide other services available on the same (for example, respond to user requests or process a request for contact or support through Customer Service).

You also have the right to complain to the Authority for the Protection of Personal Data for alleged violations of existing legislation.

CHANGES AND UPDATES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY   

iotty may modify or simply update, in whole or in part, the Privacy Policy of the Site also in consideration of changes in the laws or regulations that govern this matter and protect your rights. Changes and updates to the Privacy Policy will be notified to users on the Home page of the website or by e-mail as soon as they are adopted and will be binding as soon as they are published on the website in this same section. We therefore ask you to regularly access this section to check the publication of the most recent and updated Privacy Policy.
